Built for the best days. Built with the best people.

The first special edition ski from Type2, developed in partnership with the community and available in very limited quantities.

Zero camber keeps the ski loose, playful, and skiable even when the tide runs low. Stiffer than most skis in its category, the platform underfoot is stable and confident for stomping a landing or finding an edge on piste.

When the tide is high, the swallowtail unlocks a level of float that skis of similar width simply can't match, letting the ski rise and plane through deep snow the way a dedicated pow ski would.

SWALLOW 111

Swallow Tail Rocker

Enough to ride switch and optimized for maneuverability. Sinks in deep snow to provide superior float compared to other skis of similar width.

Zero Camber

The ultimate in that surf and slash style. A huge boost in maneuverability, making this wider ski a pleasure to ride even in low tide.

Early Rise Rocker

Designed for easy turn initiation creating an effortless ride and generates float in deeper snow.

All Conditions. No Compromises.

The Swallow 111 is ideal for those who want one ski that can handle nearly anything, with a slight preference for soft snow performance. The rockered tip/tail and zero camber provides float, easy pivoting, and maneuverability that far exceeds what the 111mm waist might suggest. Whether you’re surfing an untouched snow field or charging the groomer back to the chair, the Swallow 111 will always deliver.

5-Factor Score

Our skis are ranked on the 5 biggest factors that define a ski. No side of the spectrum is better or worse, it's your ski and your experience. The only thing that matters is what you want.

Ingredients

Hardwood Core

Maple or poplar, vertically laminated and built in-house at our factories. This construction delivers the stability and durability skis demand, while natural wood fiber provides a stiffness-to-damping balance no synthetic replacements can match.

Sintered Base

1.4 mm 4001 Race Grade Durasurf sintered UHMW base material delivers superior wax absorption and durability. Each ski comes with a precision tune and structured base.

UHMW Sidewall

Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene outperforms ABS or wood sidewalls in impact and torsional resistance. The result is a solid platform edge-to-edge, with sharper edge control and natural damping built in.

Topsheet

A textured PBT layer gives the ski highly durable surface protection while doubling as the perfect canvas for high-definition,
vibrant, gallery-quality graphics.

Construction

Sidewalls run the entire length of the ski, giving it the highest torsional rigidity and edge consistency of any build method. It's the most bombproof way to build a ski, and it's why we use it edge-to-edge, tip to tail.

Handmade in Canada

Every pair is hand-built in-house, not mass-produced overseas by robots and AI. That means real quality control at every step, from layup to finish. Nothing leaves until I say its good enough.
